Yesterday I was at Bildungshaus Schloss Retzhof with my co-trainer, practicing Hap-Ki-Do and self-defense with a group of kids.
With the sun out, we headed straight onto the lawn in front of the mansion: holding strike pads, practicing kicks, watching out for one another. Exactly the mix of movement and focus that matters most to me when working with kids.
I'm especially glad that Hap-Ki-Do Verein Leibnitz keeps getting invited to workshops like this — exactly the setting where kids get to try out, away from their usual training hall, what respect, discipline, and self-confidence actually mean in practice.
