1support.at relaunched: a help center that answers in seconds

Since 29 October, https://1support.at has been running in a completely new form. 1Support is the place to go for everyone who uses 1Hosting, 1Tool or 1Marketing: guides, videos and a direct line to our team, all in one place.

Why we replaced the old site

The previous site was a WordPress installation built with the Elementor page builder. It worked, but it did not fit what a help center has to do. People who come to a support page have a problem and little patience: the mailbox on the new phone is not working, a password needs changing, the out-of-office reply has to go in before the holiday. Every second counts until the right answer is on the screen.

Then there is maintenance. A WordPress site with plugins needs constant updates, or it becomes a security risk in its own right. For a site that is essentially a collection of guides, that is unnecessary effort.

What is different now

The new 1support.at is a purely static website: no database, no plugins, no page builder. Every page sits as a finished file on our own server and is there instantly.

The heart of it is the search. Right on the home page is the question “How can we help?” with a search field below it. Type “Outlook”, “change password” or “out of office” and the matching guide appears while you are still typing. From any page, the search also opens with ⌘K.

The content is sorted by topic: email, domains and web hosting, 1Tool and, in English for developers, the 1Tool API. The guides for Outlook, Thunderbird and Android go step by step, with a picture for each step and the server settings in one place to look up. The explainer videos on managing mailboxes, domains and web hosting in Cosmix only load when you click them, so simply opening the page sends nothing to a video service.

And when the guide is not enough

A help center does not replace people, which is why the home page also says: “and people who call back”. You can reach us by phone, WhatsApp or email at +43 1 312 312 or support@koerbler.com. We have one request: pick one channel. The same request on three channels creates three tickets and makes the answer slower, not faster.

Nothing gets lost

Every address of the old site automatically redirects to the matching new page. Anyone who bookmarked a guide years ago still ends up in the right place, and search engines lose nothing either. For AI assistants there is also an llms.txt, so they can find and reproduce our guides correctly.
